Negina Yari

Negina Yari is a dedicated Afghan civil society leader and advocate for women’s rights, peace, and equality. Born in Ghor Province, Afghanistan, she is currently pursuing her Master’s degree at King’s College London. With over 13 years of active engagement in Afghanistan’s civil society, Ms. Yari has been at the forefront of initiatives centered on women’s economic empowerment, peace and security, leadership, and the protection and promotion of women’s and girls’ rights.
She is the Executive Director of Window for Hope Organization (WFH), a dynamic network of Afghan women-led civil society organizations. WFH is committed to empowering women and girls to champion peace, security, and equality through inclusive and sustainable initiatives—striving to build a future where every woman’s voice is heard, rights are upheld, and lives are free from violence and conflict.

Ms. Yari also serves as the Country Director of Global Peace Chain (Afghanistan) and is the Chair of the Women Advisory Group to the Humanitarian Country Team of Afghanistan, where she plays a pivotal role in advocating for gender equality in humanitarian aid delivery.

She is the co-producer of “Unstoppable Women: The Afghan Women’s Movement”, a powerful narrative that highlights both the profound losses and the resilient hopes of Afghan women amidst adversity. Her voice has reached global platforms as a delegate and speaker at the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) and the UN Human Rights Council, where she has addressed the humanitarian and human rights situations in Afghanistan.

Negina Yari continues to be a courageous and visionary leader, amplifying the voices of Afghan women and tirelessly working towards a just, peaceful, and inclusive society.
