Mother’s Day is a reminder that motherhood is not only a human bond, it is the very essence of creation, the force that nurtures life, builds communities, and keeps love alive across generations.

This year, we had the honor of celebrating this beautiful day with our community in Ottawa, a gathering of Afghan women who carry within them the strength of a nation, the warmth of a home, and the hope of a better future. Alongside the celebration, the event also included a financial awareness session, offering mothers practical guidance to support their families’ financial well-being and independence.

To every Afghan mother who has rebuilt her life in a new land, who raises her children between two cultures, who holds her family together while finding herself, we see you, we honor you, and we celebrate you.
